West Cork Table Tennis Schools Cup 2010

Schull Community College sent 4 teams to this year's event held in MICC in Dunmanway. This event has grown over the last couple of years with over 70 teams competing, which is the largest ever and the highest standard. Schull U19 boys, put in a great performance to beat last year's Champions Ardscoil Phobao Bheanntrai and reach the final against a very tough Macroom De La Salle team. The Schull lads of Jacob Harris, Ben O'Donnell and Josh Lenz-Lipitch put in an excellent performance but were unable to defeat Macroom, who took the title.
There was another close battle in the U13 mixed event, where Schull Community Colleg met Ardscoil Phobal Bheanntrai in the final. Again Schull competed well but had to settle for silver as their B team took 4th. Schull took another medal this time -Bronze in the U15 boys event. Congratulations to all the players who took part.
