1. With the new school year, we welcomed 84 first years into the college and they have been settling in.
2. All activities have started up again with

3. Congratulations to the Boys senior football team for their first win.
4.The French Department had a Subject inspection this month.
5. The Boys U16 Soccer team had a great win against Mc Egan College, Macroom, recently, winning 7-0. Goals scored by Bosco Minihan, Conor O'Driscoll, Taghg O Mahony and Eddie Goggin. The team knows that tougher competition lies ahead and we wish them the best for those games.
6. Jeremy Irons came to the College to raise the second GREEEN FLAG for the school. The committee were very pleased to have been awarded a second green flag. Well done to the committee.
7. First years have had a friendship day.
8. Transition years are all over the country the last two weeks of October as they search for work experience, and some will be heading off on the German Exchange when they come back after mid-term.
9.Girls Basketball:
The U 16 girls had a really good win over Scoil Mhuire Kanturk. The score was SCC 42 -8.
The U19 team were also successful, winning 41-34. Keep up the good work.
10. The Leaving Certificate Biology, Geography and Ag. Science classes have had their practical coursework outings this month.
11.Elections are on going for class reps for the Student Council. A class representative is also choosen for the GREEN SCHOOLS COMMITTEE.
12. The Parents Association had it's AGM.
13.All the night classes have started.
14. The students from Northern Ireland visited the school during the week of 15th of October.
