M.S READATHON 2006

The event ran from the beginning to the end of November.
The highest amount raised by an individual student was €243 by Katherine Duffy (1C)

All students received a token gift from the M.S. Society.
Thomas Barry was nominated for an achievement award for exceptional efforts made in reading.He travelled to Dublin to receive his award from Cecilia Ahern in March.

The involvement of students in the Readathon also formed part of the Reading Age Initiative for First Year Students. While many students read more than five or six books over the month, more reluctant readers managed to read at least one book for the event.
