1. Laurence Snashall brought great pride to our school as he came first in a competition for the Young Film maker of the year! He received €1,000 and a plaque. All his classmates came to celebrate with him on this occasion. Well done Laurence!

2.Our team of teachers and students went to Dublin to launch the Lesotho project.

3. The transition year mini companies had great success at the Regional Finals of the Mini companies.

4. The girls basketball team played in the County Final for first years and won it. Many congratulations to the team and their trainer Tony Sheehan!

6.The School is being visited by the German Exchange students and we hope they have an enjoyable stay!

7.Junior Cycle English students have been participating in a series of Drama workshops. First year students were given an introduction to Drama by Caolan Gibbons and he also provided a workshop for third year higher level English students on "The Merchant of Venice"

8. Three 5th year students completed the 2007 Bollinger Community Project in December. The project involved the purchase and erection of a new fixed lighting system in the College Assembly area. The students that the school would like to thank are David O'Sullivan, Diarmaid Linehan and Eoghan Mc Sweeney.

9. As part of the Transition year programme, the College has elected to participate in the Enterprise scheme "Blastbeat". This Irish based venture is an award winning competition that has participating schools world wide. For this exciting project, pupils will set up their own recording company, provide a business plan, scout for marketable bands and organise and stage a "Battle of the Bands" featuring six young acts. The best band selected will represent the record company against 30 other schools in Ireland. If successful, they will then go forward to represent Ireland at the World finals in 2009. Good luck to this company.

10. The school Amnesty group went to the primary school to set up a new Amnesty group in the town. This month they also set up a stand on the open evening and an information stand in the hall. They also sold Fairtrade Chocolate bars and friendship bracelets. Meetings continue each Monday at lunch time.
