Schull Community College

English is taught to all students in the college for their six years. The teachers are Julie Mac Mahon, Yvonne O'Regan, Alison Hodnett, Nuala Gallwey and Paul Moriarty.
English offers the students opportunities to study drama, poetry, fiction, functional writing, personal writing and media studies.

The Wendy Smith poetry competition was set up in the school after the death of a loved teacher, Wendy Smith. The college holds the competition before the open night each year and is open to the primary schools in the catchment area and our own school.
