ACCESS PROGRAMMES: -
Quite a number of colleges have a programme of assistance in place, to help those who would find it financially difficult to go on to 3rd Level study. Information is now coming through from the colleges about their individual access programmes. Some colleges, as well as offering financial assistance, offer places on reduced points. The information is now filed in the Careers Library in the file for each 3rd Level Institution. You can also get the information on the College Websites. STEPS are here to help Log onto STEPS.ie and win an IPad! STEPS has just launched a new dynamic website. The website is your one-stop-shop for all things related to engineering profession.To celebrates the launch of the new website STEPS are running a competition for post primary school students. [Soft Break]This competition is open from 14th September - 24th October 2011.
Students simple need to log on and answer the three simple questions. Each student will nominate their Guidance Counsellors, Science or Maths Teacher.
The winner, who will be drawn on Wednesday 26th October, will not only receive an Apple IPad for themselves but the nominated teacher will also receive one!
CAO Courses-The STEPS website has a list of all the engineering courses in Ireland. Courses can be filtered by region, third level institution, engineering discipline or the previous years’ CAO points.

Maths Resources -The STEPS website, steps.ie, has a host of maths material to support teachers and engage students. Free maths tutorials are on offer to students at our Ballsbridge location every weekend, and for students not in the local area, online tutorials are available on our website.
